Since I am using the Community Edition, there has been only so much technical support I could obtain… And I did everything the technical I have been trying to get either VS 2017 or 2019 to work on my Windows 10 Workstation but all of my efforts have failed. VS 2019 could not create a new project or load an existing one without throwing the following error “Tools version 15.0 not recognized”.
However, this time instead of being unable to compile a project, Again the install went in smoothly and without any errors. Growing frustrated with trying to VS 2017 to work as it had been, I decided to try VS 2019 ver. Yet there were never any errors even when I turned on the diagnostic output to review the build information. However, it blew up the ability to compile a single project. The install was successful without any issues. 15.9.12 was released just a few weeks ago, I decided to upgrade my VS 2017 to this latest version.
